Art Hop 2025 in Georgetown, Texas

  • Overview

    Art Hop 2025 exhibits some of the works of Texas visual artists every October in Georgetown Texas. It’s put on by Hill Country Arts Focus, formerly known as the Georgetown Arts Works. We are a community 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 and based in Georgetown Texas.

    Art will be shown—free and open to the public during the regular hours at the Georgetown Public Library and Lamppost Coffee in downtown Georgetown.

    Artists will be competing for cash awards and prizes in six art categories, including best in show. Entry fees are $45 for up to three works in a category; $55 for up to five works. Drop-off of artwork: Sunday, Sep. 28, 1:00-4:00 pm. Pick-up of artwork: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00-4:00 pm..

    The 2025 Art Hop is open to any artist 16 years or older residing in Texas.

  • Categories

    2-D Representational: Subject matter is representational. Painting, watercolor, encaustic, acrylic, oil, mixed media, textiles, collage, gouache, ink, graphite, pastel, and printmaking (prints pulled by hand).

    2-D Abstract: Subject matter is abstract. Any 2-D Medium: painting, watercolor, encaustic, acrylic, oil, mixed media, textiles, collage, gouache, ink, graphite, pastel, printmaking (prints pulled by hand.)

    3-D Representational: Subject matter is representational. Ceramics, sculpture, 3-D, assemblage, wood, metal, mixed media.

    3-D Abstract: Subject matter is abstract. Ceramics, sculpture, 3-D, assemblage, wood, metal, mixed media.

    Photography: Camera-generated photographic images

    Digital Art: Digital imaging, digital collage, digital design.

  • Awards

    Winners will be announced at the Progressive Reception: October 4th from 2:30 - 5:00 pm Georgetown Public Library and the Lamppost Coffee.
